Conservatories

ConservatoriesA room with many uses

A conservatory can offer you the space to relax, entertain or provide you the additional room that a young family needs to grow. Designed to fit in with your lifestyle a conservatory can provide the additional space you are looking for - without the turmoil and expense of moving house.

Whatever style you choose, conservatories are an added investment to any home. They transform living spaces and are the ideal way to add the second living room,
home office or dining area that you have always promised yourself.

A complete Solution

Unlike some companies, we exclusively use PVC-u from one supplier to manufacture your complete conservatory roof, windows and doors. This means every component will perfectly colour match throughout the life of your conservatory, other companies may not provide you with this solution and peace of mind.

Independent accreditation

All products are fully accredited by the British Board of Agrement (BBA), the UK construction industry’s leading independent authority on building products quality. This means your conservatory design has been thoroughly tested for structural strength and air and water tightness.

CR Windows we are here to help you with the design and planning of your conservatory which will be bespoke to you, as each design and style is as individual as you are.

We are able provide a complete service for you. We can assist with the design of your conservatory, from roof to windows to the doors to the glazing.

Whether you are replacing and improving an existing conservatory or starting with a brand new conservatory, we offer a complete building service from the base to dwarf walls, full height walls, internal plastering, electrics, plumbing, etc.

Please note; Planning permission may sometimes be required, so please liaise with one of our experienced sales advisors for full guidance.

Optional features - Glazing

Polycarbonate

There are two types of glazing you can choose from for your conservatory roof. The first option is polycarbonate.

This is available in either a 25mm or 32mm thickness. The colour options are:

  • Clear
  • Bronze – Opal
  • Bronze/Opal
  • Heatguard/Opal

This variety of colours that are available to you may provide privacy from above or reduce the direct glare and heat of the sunlight.

Glass

Glass has now become the number one choice for glazing in conservatory roofs and there are as you would expect several options available to you.

All glass used in a conservatory has to be toughened glass for your safety, this includes the glass used in your roof. By far the most popular choice for customers is the Pilkington active range.

Please view the link to discover the world of self cleaning glass from the UK’s largest supplier of quality conservatory sealed units.

This glass is available in three options – Activ Clear, Activ Neutral or Activ Blue

With the Activ Neutral or Activ Blue options these also offer a greater solar control which will keep your conservatory cool in the summer and warmer in the winter months by allowing the natural sunlight in whilst keeping the heat out.

It’s self cleaning properties are floated into and onto the glass so therefore this cannot be scraped or scratched as it is not a visible coating.
